Today was a good day. I started the day by going to the post office to pickup my new pair of MINI Motion Puma driving shoes that I found on eBay. In celebration, I took the car out and finally ended the break-in period. Then, when I got back from motoring, my welcome kit from MINI had arrived with the mail.

More about the shoes, the MINI Motion Puma driving shoes are very comfortable. I had been driving in a pair of Puma Roma shoes, which have a hard, thick sole and a square heel. Having a pair of actual driving shoes made a big difference. I particularly liked having a rounded heel because for the first time my heel didn't get stuck on the floor mat.

Every time this barefooting thread goes around, I feel like there's a lot of shoe salemen out there pushing this theme. Yawn.

I rock out a nice pair of Oakley driving shoes...that might be becasue I work for them but they are still pretty good! My all time favourites are a pair of Puma knock-offs that I bought in Spains version of an Abercrombie and Fitch type store. THE most fantastic shoe I have ever bought and they were about 25 dollars. Nice.

It's funny, every time I read a thread about MINIs I feel like there's a lot of car salesmen out there pushing the MINI theme. Yawn.

THIRTEEN TWENTY is the name of the oakley shoe I use. They are real comfy and you can see them on the website. I like em cos they are a bit different to wearing puma's all the time. But really, any soft, tight fitting show that lets you feel whats going on works great.

I've got a pair of the Oakley's. Thirteen Twenty's as well. I really liked them except that, with a wide foot, they tended to make my feet sore when wearing them for long periods. I've since gotten a pair of Piloti Spyders and prefer them for all around wear. I give up just a little bit of pedal feel, but since these are my day-to-day shoe, it's a very small compromise that I'm more than willing to make For a shoe that you'll only wear to drive... you could do worse than either the Oakley or the Piloti (IMHO)
