Bonnet Stripes: Solid or Striped?

I was just curious which most people prefer... I didn't realise you could get the S stripes on the Cooper (the ones with the pinstripe) and now I'm wondering which one to get... I was going with the solid black ones since my Cooper is black and red... oh well, just one more thing to come up to decide on while i'm waiting eek:

Get the solid ones. If you want pinstriping you can get a big roll of it at AutoZone, etc. for $2.99. Very easy to put on, and if you don't like it, very easy to take off.

I used to have a CR/CR MC and I put the black Cooper S stripes on there. I LOVED the look. But that's just my opinion. If you'd like, I can dig up a picture and post it on here.

I put silver stripes. Since there is so much black plastic on and around the hood, I got silver stripes with black pinstripes and it looks great. The silver really stands out and the black complements the other bits.

I think it depends on your car color and the stripe color you're going to get. If you put black on, it looks much better with the silver around it IMO. Darkers colors need the pinstripe around them.

But for the lighter color stripes, I like them better without any pinstripe. I don't have any pinstriping around mine.......

Thanks for the replies... I was just going to go and get the vinyl myself and put it on, but I'm getting it included with my car as a bonus, so I'm not complaining

I think I'll prob stick with the solid and add to it if I decide I don't like... I think someone mentioned the OEM pinstripe is just a wider white under the black? Is that right?

the white borders on my IB/B MCS was too tacky so got another set and
trimmed it off. such a clean look now with the black blending into the IB.
