Still love my MINI, proven by the fact that I have missed her while she was in the shop for the last week and a half. I can't wait to pick her up today. (and I am even driving a MINI as a loaner and still miss my Boo).

3 1/4 years of ownership so far and I'm still in love with my MINI....
My wife is still in love with it as well
(she wants a MINI convertible when it's time to say goodbye to her VW Cabrio).

I love driving mine but then I view a car as more than simply an appliance to transport me from point A to point B. Life is too short to waste driving time in some boring sedan or SUV. I have a Subaru Forester for those occasions when I need to haul big or heavy stuff or 3-4 adults in relative comfort. I don't enjoy driving the Subaru on a daily basis because it is boring (useful, but boring).

Nearly Three Months and Loving it

After almost three months I continue to marvel at my 2006 MCS. It is a joy to drive and it never gets old. I recently started on a new project just 1.25 miles from my house - I quickly mapped out a longer route as it just wasn't enough time............

And Hummer owners feel the same way! only they see small cars as having limited capabilities. Honestly I think the vehment anit-SUV sentiment (especially hummers) makes us look like the fools. We are establishing ourselves as a community that only sees vehicles for the image they project. I say if you can aford the cost then who cares if you are buy a hummer. what do you care! aren't we happy egnough with our cars to not have to try to make us feel better by insulting hummer owners......OK so back on topic

..........I am still in love and am also guilty of the second look. I can't imagine buying any other car after 3 years of ownership

Your recent posts don't give out the impression that this is just "another" car

I can get one cart of groceries in the back with the seats up, two full Costco baskets with the seats down...

The most I have had back there is an 8 person tent, a canopy, two large coolers, an air matress and compressor, two bags of clothes/towels, and various other camping gear. I am not sure how much more I could ever want to carry. All I know is I can haul more than any of my previous full size cars could carry.

It has been one year and I still look out the door of my house when I walk by and smile. I also just realized that I do the parking lot double-check too. I just want to make sure it all wasn't a dream....

I don't care as long as you can keep it in your own parking spot and drive it in your own lane - it's not the car/truck, it's the driver. I watched this poor woman who couldn't see over the steering wheel trying to back out a Suburban one time. It took her 5-10 minutes. She inched....slowly....and had 20-30 feet behind her. If you can't drive it, don't buy it.

Oh...and I love my MINI.

Sounds to me that not enough people were looking at her in her MINI, so she had to get a Hummer instead. Oh, 6 months and I still love my MINI.

Love versus Cost of Repairs?

I love my 2003 MINI, but I am a little scared about the cost of repairs in the future. I've spent a lot of time keeping up with the problems under warranty; so I am hoping that I won't have as many problems under warranty.

Love my MINI but scared it will be a money pit!

Closing in on our first anniversary and the answer is definately YES. I've found that since I've been playing around with modding it a bit I like it even more. Only wish I could afford to do everything at once! About every time I see it I think "Man that is a sweet ride" and even made the comment this morning that my 5 minute commute to work was too short and didn't have enough curves!

Check out my Gallery for before and after Pics

I look out my windows and see my car. I still am very happy with him and hope he lasts as long as my Volvo did 24 years.

I have had mine now since August 2002 and love it. But by the time I move back to the states I will be buying Porsche which one not sure. In 7 years when I return the line up could be completely different than it is today.

Ditto w/ my 1/2003 Cooper (...which just turned 40K, thankyouverymuch)!!! Anybody who says a MINI is just a car (which is true technically-speaking, I suppose) must also admit that they are extremely engaging even over the long haul. In fact, I'd even submit that MINI ownership becomes more satisfying over time...there are little nuances to MINIs that you just can't totally appreciate during a test drive, but only over time.

After almost 3 years, I still really like my MINI. But I'm also scared of the out of warranty repair costs, even though my car has not had any problems yet. A new gear box, should one become necessary, would be a costly venture once my warranty is up in 14 months! But when I think of driving any other car with a back seat, it makes me cringe. There are not a whole lot of 4 seaters out there in the MINI's price range that appeal to me at all.

Before I bought my first MINI, I took my two largest guitars, a big amp, a couple of gear bags, and some stands to the dealership, and asked them if I could load up a MINI. Moment of truth: gear doesn't fit, no MINI. There isn't a more practical performer at that price out there, period. True confession: I'm not in love w/ my PS/B '03 MC any more. Instead, I'm driving an '06 CR/W full JCW MCS. Just got it past break-in mileage, and I have to say, I don't miss the first MINI much. Is that being fickle?

Just past my 3 year anniversary and I still love it. I park and as I'm walking away I still look back at it and think "man that's a handsome car".

I confess that after 3 years I'm not as obsessive about washing it. There always seems to be rain in the next day's forecast and I think "why bother?". I do plan to give it the strip/claybar/zaino treatment next week though.

Impractical? I don't agree. It's completely practical for me. 95% of the time it's just me in it, commuting or traveling to disc golf tournaments.
If you find it impractical for your lifestyle, maybe you bought the wrong vehicle?

Oh, and I'm closing in on 90,000 miles so I've spent a lot of time with it!

One year and counting and still Mad about my Mini. I Traded from a GMC Yukon, my boys are grown and so I just don't need all the empty waisted space. I can easily fit my weekly shopping in the back, or my 156 pound Bullmastif. My wife loves it for our date car. I really can't see ever going back to a truck. and with gas prices headed for the stars I have a little extra cash to spend tricking out my Mini.
