R50/53 The "My MINI has Never Been Through an Automatic Car Wash" Club
Car wash
My 2002 MCS JCW has only been hand washed by me since new. Only use water, no soap. Since I don't drive it in inclement weather, it's never really gotten too dirty. Mostly dusty. The 2005 MC has gotten a brushless wash in the winter when I didn't have time to do it by hand.
This is interesting.
At this very moment, my better half has decided its too hot to do anything else and got out the washing stuff and hose

I knew there was a reason we got married ... she loves cars.
Now Both cars are getting sudsy and clean .... Woot for Car Loving Women!

I've never went to anautomatic car wash, neither a car wash. The only time someone else washed my MCS was at the dealer, when it was in for service and they washed it. But this only happened 2-3 times. As soon as I found out they were washing it, I told them to never wash it again lol.
My MCS has 137 000km and it still looks like a brand new car, inside and outside. People don't believe it has that much mileage on it.

No way will an automatic wash ever get their hands on my gekko!
While breaking it in I would go on 50-mile round trips then wash it before putting it in the gradge.
Came back from a long road trip and washed it twice in a row.
I have nowhere near the arsenal of supplies that I've been reading about... ...but they're growing fast.
Glad i'm not the only one...

Ah yes, i remember you, never forget you're hometown members, how's Miami? I'm thinking of going down sometime soon. I miss that place, even though i wasn't of age to walk into clubs and lounges. I miss those hurricane warnings, that forced my brother and I to hammer plywood against windows and such...amazing moments. I remember when i was playing basketball when (if im not mistaken) hurricane Kate was moments away from us, good times.
Anyway, how's Miami? You went down for work? I can't remember what you said, if you told me already.

Listen up you single guys: One of the first questions for your date ... "When it's too hot to do anything else, do you go out and wash your car?"
Blasphemy! Nobody should take any of their vehicles there! I even hand wash my '02 Tacoma pickup...
How else can you get intimately familiar with your car?
BTW, we've owned it since Monday, I've washed it twice, and it hasn't seen rain yet, other than the day of delivery...

Its great to have someone you can talk to at home about what car to buy next, what ones to consider, etc. It also makes spending money on your car so much easier. When your single, all you really got to think about is yourself. But when your married, there is so many other places for money to go like the kids, the house, vacations, etc. If you can find out a potential spouses priorities early ... you will have life so much easier 10 - 20 years down the road

This is going to show my age but when we were "dating", my future wife said her "dream car" to buy would be a Porsche 914/6.

Woot ... where's the Church?
I'm in this club!

That's cool! My wife's original dream car was just about any old Jaguar. Or an MG T.
