I felt that a stock 05 MCS simply will not accelerate "just as well" as an 05 JCW, even with the rear sway, wheels & tires. That was why I called BS. To me, it was a ridiculous statement - and my response was not a slam on you, only on your statement.

(Keep in mind too, while we're on the subject, that 05 JCWs could be had with a variety of OEM wheels, from the factory. 16s and 17s... I myself had the web-spokes, while not "lightweight", are noticably lighter than the S-lites. Only the JCW needed to be dealer-installed.)

I do want to point out one thing - I was not a moderator back then (and I'm still not on that forum) so I was unable to delete anything, I could only edit my own posts... and the only time I did was once I realized I had somehow skipped over your amusing fish reference, since I was so caught up in the JCW stuff. I even apologized once I realized my mistake. (Post #55 in that thread)

Actually, other than the "once in a while" overreaction (hey, we're all human), I'm pretty much the same as before... but you don't know me well enough to realize that, I guess. The key is, when I screw up, and I realize I screw up, I have no problem apologizing, publicly. I just have to know I made the mistake first!
I read your apology and it gave me closure..........I hope you and Pat can settle your differences is a similar way.

I still think you should give Chows his first strike for:

(a) gratuitous use of emoticons.

(b) potential use of non-NAM approved emoticons.

(c) owning not one, but two dogs with purple tongues.

(d) having an obvious checkerboard fetish.

.........substitute the popcorn bag in your emoticon for a bowl of lettuce, some croutons, and have it kinda bouncing up and down........but the smiley could still be wide-eyed.......

That would make me happy because I hardly ever eat popcorn but do enjoy my salads.

I'm going to Google "Tossed Salad" and see if I can find any applicable emoticons.

Given I've heard Chris Rock's standup concerning tossed salad I don't think the emoticon will be pretty

Dude. ... Purple tongue dogs rock ... only peers are polar bears and Grizzlies

Checkerboard fetish .... well, as fetishes go, it is a strange one I admit. However, I can say in full honesty, its a "shared" fetish since the wife like it or they wouldn't be on the car

Whatever you do, don't look up "tossed salad" on the Urban Dictionary site.

Please let us know what you find as far as emoticons go...should be interesting.

Hmmmm, some seem to be having a rough Monday so far.

I see nothing constructive or remotely entertaining about this thread. Let's stop acting like 10 year olds and get on with life, shall we?
