And then car companies get silly and sell the same car under different names in different countries. A Subaru Legacy in the US is a Liberty in Australia. A Miata is an MX5 in the rest of the world. An Aussie Ford Laser was a Merkur in the US, while the Plymouth Laser (identical to a Mitsubishi Eclipse or Eagle Talon) never made it to Aus.

 

In Australia, the speedo has to be ALWAYS placed in front of the driver, hence they get a HUGE tach in the center.
