Sorry again, there are too many clubs already, but........... Lets make a new one. If your in high school and own a mini, then join, call a number and some high schooler with photoshop "skillz" needs to make a logo.
HSMOC #1
Oh yeah, post your story on how you bought it aswell.
You have nothing to apologize for in starting your new club. Would you like me to change the thread title to "High School MINI Owners Club (HSMOC)?" I would be happy to do that, to remove any negative stigma by the apology in the title... *hint hint*
. Although, this is the area where mom/pop buy the kids anything.
SO is where I live. My friend just got a new STI, and let me tell you, Im a little envyous of the whole "Free car" thing.
Oh btw, it basically gave me whiplash. Those cars haul. And he let me drive it, while I was driving he asked if it handles better than a MINI, and I was proud to say, NO, it handles good though.

Reason: to correct quote format
My dad bought my car, but I still have a work ethic. I've just been lucky enough that I haven't needed to spend my savings on a car. Instead I've traveled to Italy, Canada, and California on my dime and have spent a fairly considerable amount on camera gear. Not to mention I've already started saving for retirement and a down payment on a house.
See? That's awesome. You've already done more living than a lot of people do in their whole lifetime. Don't even feel bad because your Dad bought you a car. Have fun while you can, and don't ever feel you have to justify your good fortune. As long as you appreciate it, and it sure seems as though you do.
I know, I know, I'm crashing your thread. But I just wanted to say it sure seems like you guys/gals REALLY have your heads on straight. A lot straighter than mine was when I was in HS! And this is the beauty of the MINI - people of ALL ages enjoy this car. Whether you're in High School, retired, or using the MINI as the family car (like I am!).
im 17 own a mini but its my 4th car right now as its stands just black green leather limo tinted windows putting wheels on it lowering short shift and clutch its a 03 cooper and i have payed for all 4 of my cars so dont flame parents dont buy me whatever i want
lol i am jealous, while i worked through HS, i could only afford a 1987 honda accord coupe. it was really light though. saved up and traded into 04 cooper with only the sport package my senior year. which i work on in the summers between college years, during college it just sits in my dad's garage being lonely (college has good buses around and it means i save on gas money for more mods)
I get so much slack for it, all my friends drive mustangs and pickup trucks, real manly man cars, but the ladies are allways asking for a ride in the mini.
I totally agree... the girls ALWAYS ride with me though. haha
And MINI's are manly cars... we don't have to compensate with size or extra cylinders to make up for anything.
