I laughed... I cried... how poetic. However, I do feel deep in my heart that all MINI owners are color blind and care for all MINIs. Is this a great community or what?

I gotta agree here...I had a 1968 Triumph TR-250 in BRG (with a white rallye stripe across the front part of the bonnet) - now that was one great color. I am such a fan of the retro look (but with the amenities of today!) that I went with the non-metallic CR. I would have probably gotten the BRG if it weren't a metallic BRG that (IMHO) often looks black from a distance.

Why in the world did MINI give up it's great color pallete of Liquid Yellow, the Electric Blue, and replace them with yet more shades of silver and silvery colors? Not that I have anything at all against silver - my other car (Audi A4Q) is silver. But I think that given the MINI heritage of it being a hip, quirky, cool car, they should go with more colors!! Plus, given the white roof option, bright colors just complement that really well!

MINIclo: I hope that you are right. Something more wider than 8 different shades of sliver/gray.
