Silver 2006 MCS bonnet stripe bubbling, anyone else??

Hi,

My fiancee got her Mini last night, after the 2 hour drive home from the dealer she noticed that her stripe is starting to bubble/blister from the heat. It is starting at the right side edge closest to the intake on the hood.

I was just wondering if anyone else has seen or heard of this problem.

Here is a picture of the car after it came off the truck...

depending on how bad the bubble is, i would either slip a small needle to
vent it, or just leave it alone.

some bubbles go away on its own.

congrats on the new car.

First, Nice MINI! Welcome to NAM! Second, the bubling it probably from the heat. If it doesnt go away, I bet the dealer will fix it. It might have been placed wrong or something. My Union Jack roof is shrinking a little. I will talk to my MA when I go for my next oil change. Wait a few days, if its still there, give 'em a call.

Yes, it seems to be from the heat off of the edge near the intake duct.

It's not just one bubble, it's like 10. I will try and take pictures.

She has e-mailed her MA to find out what to do.

Oh yeah, it was a factory installed stripe , not dealer installed.

if your car's so new, i'd bring it back to the dealership to resolve.
