My gas tank cover (the little door that opens, not the gas cap) got stuck the other morning. Whatever I did, I could not get it open! I read through the manual thinking that there may be a lock feature that somehow I never noticed in the past 7 months! Well...no good. It was stuck. I was on empty. I had an hour to get to the airport and catch a flight! Needless to say, I had to suck it up and force it open. The cover came off in my hand. Now I have to try to get it replaced. Anyone else have this happen?! Yikes!

OUCH!!! Did you have the central lock switch unlock everything (boot, doors, and fuel door) before opening the door?

The central switch locks everything including the fuel door. Maybe it was locked when you manually unlocked/open the driver's door. I guess it's too late for any advice :???:

Let us know if your dealer will replace it under warranty. Good Luck!!

There IS an emergency release handle for the gas door. I found it by accident one day. If you take off the panel on the left side of the boot, and look in and up, you will see a white handle. If you grab it and slide it toward the rear of the car, it will unlock the gas door. It's a little tricky, it doesn't rotate, it just slides straight back.

the motor on mine is very noisy when unlocking - from the time I got my MCS- deaaler offered leave it there for repair ( I live 170 miles away and could not do that). Last week it did not unlock - played with it a little with small screwdriver and it finally opened. Now I blocked it by the piece of plastic and duck tape so it can not lock till my next visit at the dealer.

Mine won't lock at all. I guess I'm "lucky".

thats really weird, ive never had anything like that happen to me. usually if the car is locked the gas tank is locked, so i unlock it. i strictly use the key with buttons cause i have an alarm system but i dont think that would have anything to do with it..
