estcoastsuporter - congradulations on your WRX if you have gotten it yet. They are also great cars. I've driven several of them before and would love a WRX to sit in my garage with my S.

But what I fail to see is why you feel it is neccessary to bad mouth cars that we enjoy and love? And what is with the mine is faster argument....you can say it to us sure in a straight line...but I could find a handful of cars that would whip a WRX.

To many people that MINI is a great car and is exactly what they want....so be happy for them....glad they have a car that is enjoyable to them....and go and enjoy your WRX...it is a great car as well and no doubt you will enjoy that as well....but drop the childish posting here and grow up.

Hmmmm, his IP Address traces back to specialolympics.com

Coincidence? I think not.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your "very special" WRX.

>>I hate people like this... I bet if he went to an Autox track he'd soon learn that just because his car is fast doesn't mean he knows how to drive it.

The lesser powered Subaru 2.5RS (GC8's) almost always run better times than the more powerful WRX at the auto-x due to shorter gearing and no turbo lag. This guy gives the Subaru crowd a bad name.

After talking to many people, they steered me away from the WRX. They said the Build quality was not there, Parts availibility stink. I wanted a car that was quick and could handle. My mini S fits the bill. If i wanted fast in a staright line I will fit a Big V8 in a chevy nova.

>>OK, let's start a pool to see what eastcoasttroll does first: total the car practicing "Gran Turismo" style drifts on the freeway or grenade first gear trying to beat a Mustang Cobra off the line!

I bet he armor alls his sidewalls and tire treads cause it looks cool and takes the first sweeping right turn into a tree.

>>ACTUALLY I OWNED A 2002 GREY MINI WITH A BLACK TOP. I TOOK DELIVERY LAST JUNE AT CHECKERDFLAG IN VA BEACH I WAS ONE OF THE FIRST PEOPLE IN THE US TO HAVE A MINI S

You do understand there is no "grey" exterior color for the MINI. Yea, thought so.

DaMatta said it very well, WRX is a great car (hence C&D Top 10 2 years running), but no need to bash other cars to prove it, especially ones that win "North American Car of the Year" which is, by the way, much more prestigous than a C&D Top 10, since NACOTY represents all of the media. Motor-on!

eastcoastsuporter, I feel bad for you. No matter how much further ahead of us you might be in a drag, you're still just going to be another blah sport scar blending in with the rest of them. There will always be faster, more boring Japanese cars around. But rarely does a car as unique and beautiful as the MINI come around. You obviously don't get it. So just go enjoy your WRX and maybe by the time you graduate junior high, you'll learn to use proper grammar and spelling.

Whew, I was going to post that picture in the F150 thread , but I thought it would have a similar outcome. Glad I reconsidered. Isn't it a sad state when you have to bite your tongue so as not to offend anyone.

Technically, what you say can't literally offend anyone. It's when that person interprets what you say, they offend themself. It's a common syntax logic error when people say:

"you p!ss me off!" <--Illogical

"I interpreted what you said as offensive and therefore proceeded to p!ss myself off!" <--Logical

Cheers
Ryan

Point taken, but since I don’t interact with any pointy eared Vulcans I guess I’ll keep gnawing away.

SkAlex, the graph is quality. As for this weirdo with a WRX, why are you posting on a MINI site? Ask and adult to help if you are confused or scared.
I really hope it works out for you and the operation goes well. I also hope you don't crash it. That would be bad.

When I think of fast cars I think of an M-5 or a Viper or a 'vette Z06. I don't think I would EVER think of anything named Subaru, even when it went by me!
