Same here

I've got the same thing starting on my '06. It's less than two months old!

The left side of mine (05 S) is just higher than the right, and it's not loose, just kinda noticeable. You'd think they'd address something like this.

I haven't had any problems with my 02 MC. Is this problem restricted to the newer cars? It just seems that the newer the Mini, the weirder the problems on them get. From peeling paint to badges curling up and dropping off. Wowsers!!

I've concluded that these problems are occuring more frequently in the later models because theyre producing MINIs to quickly and getting ahead of themselves i think MINI just has to cross there ts and dot their i's

you wouldn't have any problems with your 02 steering wheel because it's a different wheel and logo than the newer MINIs.

Could we get a picture or two posted to this thread so that we will know what to watch out for? I miss the 2 spoke MFSW from my '04 MCS for many reasons.

And thats because for 05 there was a facelift and a bit of a change up, such as gear ratios and supercharger aspects so its possible that this a problem with 05s and up

Just asked Hank Aaron to look at mine yesterday It's an 06 that I got in February and the right side is peeling up a bit. They basically looked at it and said that on a car with so few miles (11k) it was (I'm paraphrasing here) my fault for using the horn too much or pushing too hard. And nothing was done. However, it was on the service document so at least I have it in writing, so if it keeps getting worse or if my warranty gets close, I can go back in

At 4 hours one-way withOUT traffic... no thanks. It's bad enough that they somehow disabled my Daytime Running Lights while installing the alarm

On my emblem the wings inside seem to be delaminating but the outside is still good.

I thought Global made my day on Friday. That's when they fixed it, and I did get a rental (pfft- a chrysler) and lot of runaround. But I happened to be in Atlanta for a trade show so it worked out.

I used my horn on Saturday and now the NEW emblem is coming out on the right side too. At least I didn't drive over expressly for the service call.

Also 12K, purchased in Feb.

Warranty does take care of it and in my case there was actually something wrong with the airbag, so they are replacing that whole part sometime this week.

Just had the steering wheel replaced under warranty of my 03 MC because the very cheap, thin "leather" peeled off at the top of the wheel. MINI seems to have a lot more than the normal number of problems with the steering wheel.

Well they actually said I had a bent gasket of some sort...The mini badge itself is only a sticker. They said if it was only the sticker they'd replace it, but it ended up being more at least in my situation.

i was told they had to replace the whole airbag unit because the sticker isn't available by itself. i don't know why they don't just glue it down.
