Ow, my panties. I hate it when they bunch.

Actually, they werent really bunching.

Probably because I am not wearing any.

I am pretty sure that rivets were not first used on classic British cars. I might be wrong, but werent rivets used industrially and for military applications long before this?

It's too busy for my liking...no rivets please - and maybe that's all that needs to go...but I also don't like how the front bumper forces you to use a front license plate (or at least it appears that way with that little drop down section...so all in all - i'll pass - but I wouldn't kick it out of my driveway

Lots of stuff but not so affordable. 110 yen = $1 US

I particularly don't like it. Too "Fast and Furiuos" looking.

Not my cup of tea. I prefer a more 'understated' look.

I'm pretty sure they are. BOND almost always puts 19s on their cars now

thats the way to do big wheels....actually lower it so that you are tucking a decent amount so that it doesnt look like a 4x4

doubtful

that front bumper and sidekirt add ons can only be bought in japan. Both are custom colors (non-mini colors). There are only like 3 or 4 people who have sucessfully painted the inside of their headlights in the US. The front splitter is custom made. No one in the US has run porsche wheels with adapters. I only know of 2 people (both up in michigan) who have imported those mirrors. The bodykit on the first one can only be bought at one place in the US, and was custom molded to the japanese kit. The spoiler is only in japan. And the taillights are completely custom too.

but besides that....sure

The MINI's rivets are larger. Should have done lower edge of air dam too?

nah doing the lower air dam would have made a closed shaped design and outlined the car a little too much i think. That would really dissrupt the nature of the flares and would pull the car into one big giant shape as opposed to being separate shapes nicely ajoining.

And as the pictures posted have proved, the race look (which is what they were going for) was only used to hold fenders on (even nuzzo motorsports uses these now on their new MINIs).

The rivets totally ruin the smooth streamlined look of that car. That's the only thing that catches my eye.

Rivets suck.

ahaha you are right...your opinion must be the correct one. Rivets must suck if you say so. I will keep that in mind when i'm going to go buy parts

the rivets can easily be filled since you are painting it anyways. They dont serve to hold the parts on.

That's a good reason to have 'em!
I'm of the "form follows function" doctrine. Machine guns aren't needed, but it sure would look cool to have two mounted on the roof (in my opinion).

Sound familiar at all? I know, I'm being a butt. Its just so funny to see you express your opinion like it is fact and then 2 posts later shoot down someones equally valid opinion. I doesnt make sense.

Hehhehehe noticed that mine says "i think". and his just says "rivets suck". Mine was an opinion. His was stated as a fact.

Also, his JUST says Rivets suck....not for any particular reason. Mine gave a reason as to WHY i felt that way.

I know you say you dont like reading...but the difference between stating something as an opinion, and stating a fact (such as "rivets suck") should be pretty obvious

I <3 you minitor

Uhhh what does form following function have to do with this? That issue has to do with decisions dealing with parts that provide form but hamper function. Such as perhaps, spoilers that actually increase drag but are used to look good. In that case, you could use the argument "form should follow function"

These rivets couldnt possibly hamper performance, so saying "for follows function" doesnt make sense unless you mean to say "i dont want any form unless its also functional".

sorry, but the excuse of form following function is over-used in my opinion. There is nothing wrong with making form related mods that dont hurt function. Form and function can in fact work together.

<end rant>

I like the way the rivets are set in....looks functional, and besides, I like dots, and it offers a more dotted look!
