Since I'm going crazy waiting for my new '06 MCS, I dusted off my copy of Gran Turismo 4 for PS2 and have started racing an '02 DS/W MCS around the nurburgring. It's fantastic!

I put an ecu chip (170hp) and LSD on the car to "simulate" the '06.

Anyway, the latest race was a stiff competition against a Nissan 350z convertile
03, Lexus SC300 '97, Mitsu Lancer Evo IIIII GSR '95, Opel Speedster Turbo '00, and an old Lotus Esprit Turbo '87 (the Bond car from Octopussy).

I managed to eek my way past the Lotus in the end with a lap time of 8:41 around the ring (17:16 total). What fun!

I hope they seriously work on the MINI more in GT5. They didn't give it many options, tuning and looks, imo. No black roof!? Not many colors, no covt. they need an update! I know the convt.'s were not out yet when they made the game though.

Can't wait till GT5!

 

Yeah no black roof made me pretty sad :( The JPN version actually had the MCS gear ratios all wrong and had a 5 speed. Glad they fixed that w/ the NA version.

GT5 will probably have all the options, at least they better!

 

I like Forza for Xbox, I think you can get the MCS up to 375 HP or thereabouts . But GT4 is great too.

I'm sure GT5 will have more MINI options plus the '07 version. That is, if Sony ever gets the PS3 and GT5 out on the shelves..
