The plastic weatherstripping on the top of my windshield
is loose and no matter how hard I push it back into the
slot between the roof and the glass it will eventually pop
out. Luckily I have caught it before it flies off into oblivion.
The dealer will look at this later this week. He said though,
that the windshield itself might not be seated properly and
that is possibly why the plastic doesn't fit snug. Well...maybe.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I would hope
the dealer would try another strip before yankin out the
glass. Since it doesn't seem that the plastic actually seals
anything (I think it just hides the ugly gap between roof and
glass) would a wee bit of adhesive (silicone caulk) be a
solution if a new piece of plastic doesn't do the trick? Ideas?
Thanks

I had the same problem. While I was driving on the highway, I suddenly heard a whistling noise. When I parked, I noticed that the strip was loose. I was going to try and glue it, but the dealer told me that they would replace it for free as it was under the warranty. After reading some horror stories from other mini owners, I am not upset about this problem!
