Retrofit Bluetooth Adapter w/mfs & h/k & iPod

I thinking of installing the oem bluetooth kit in my 06 MCS and was wondering if anyone here had done this... ?

Some questions:

1. is the mike cable pre-wired? I really don't want have to replace the left a-pillar cover.

2. I notice that the kit comes with a control dongle that mounts to the side of the console... does it work in conjunction with the buttons on the mfs or are they just a useless couple of button?

3. I have the h/k sound system and ipod adapter is the bluetooth kit even compatible with my setup?

Looking forward to your responces. Thanks, cheers.

1. The mic is not pre-wired.
2. The new kit doesn't use the control dongle, just the MFSW buttons.
3. I don't know the answer to that one.

There are much cheaper aftermarket solutions for this.

Here is a link to the install instructions on MotoringFile.com http://motoringfile.com/2006/03/10/u...e-install-pdf/

docjohnboy,

bummer about no pre wiring for the mike... that alone will make the install job suck.

I checked out the new HF kit: it looks like it installs into the armrest (which I don't have). Also, it looks like the new kit has very limited phone compatibility... at least thats the official line.

Question three is the one I really need answered: I'll call the dealer and see if they know.

There are much cheaper aftermarket solutions for this.
Any suggestions? And would any of them integrate with the MFSW?

Cheers

The interface kit integrates with the MFSW and Stereo and the bluetooth interface is a Parrot 3000 Evolution. All for about 245 USD + shipping.
