Does the OEM alarm require a fob (remote) to be kept on the keychain or does it arm and disarm passively? Has anyone had Ralpph Schomp in Denver do an install of this system?

I believe that the OEM alarm is programmed directly into the master key- i know i saw a thread on this- try doing a search for 'alarms' also if you checck out the ultimate guide posted by wwweb (another search as I am useless at doing links), you can find the owner's manual which will give all the info about the alarm...

Hi Darksky
I just had the alarm installed and the entire system works off your MINI key. When you lock the MINI, the alarm is activated.
Do consult your owners manual for more information though.
