R50/53 Another "Just Ordered!" thread . . .
Another "Just Ordered!" thread . . .
Keeler mini in upstate NY. Dave Delaney gave me his undivided attention and did an excellent job guiding me through the spec process. And, he made it fun. I had a specific mission in mind for the car (light, fast and sporty with decent mileage and friendly on a day-to-day basis) and I had a budget. Dave made a few suggestions with regards to my initial spec that allowed me to better target options and accessories that would best fulfill that mission.
My spec:
*MCS
*Chili Red/Silver roof w/silver "u" stripe (Wish MCS had Solor Red as an option!!!)
*Black honeycomb upper and middle grill.
*Anthracite interior dash
*Black leatherette (would like leather but saved $1,300)
*Multifunction steering wheel (need cruise)
*HK Stereo (IMO blew away the base stereo - decision took all of 3 seconds to make after I heard both)
*Sport package with performance summer tires
*JCW engine
*Chrono package (Wanted some way to monitor the new, $6,300 engine. Yeah, I'm aware of the shortcomings of the chrono guages but it was a cheap and convenient option)
Delivery in 6 weeks +-.
I should search for this, but since i'm already here . . . am wondering whether or not to go with the JCW suspension. Do people who have this notice a difference during spirited driving? If so, how would you describe the difference? Turn-in? Neutral handling? Bumps in mid-corner? Braking? Have no plans to really track the car (WARRANTY!) but I do like to drive with a bit of passion (NO street racing, though). Want to have as sporty of a car as possible while maintaining its daily friendliness and driveability. Also want to go the factory route to maintain the warranty.
Thanks.
PS Has anyone heard any news on the new, second-generation run-flats?
