That definitely sucks, especially since you've taken so much care to clear-bra above the rockers. Are your arches painted glossy black?

It looks like you're parked in a parking garage. You might ask if they have surveillance cameras. Even if they can't see the impact, they may be able to see who pulled into or out of that spot, or what white cars came and went during the time it was struck...

If all else fails, submit an insurance claim and you'll have it fixed up better than new in no time!

Thanks for all of the kind (and unkind {toward the evil-doer}) thoughts and words. I have an appointment (you have to make an appointment, just to get an estimate?!) for an estimate later this week.

To answer your inquiry Tarzan - I am parked under the overhang of our building. We are a small firm and this is a private building - the covered parking is for employees only, but some farging arshole decided to park there instead, thus committing a double foul - parking where not allowed and hitting my freaking car! The employees are well aware of how tight the parking can be and we all take great care when entering and exiting. While I feel my car is the nicest one here, it is by far the least expensive, so these guys definitely park with care. And yes, all of the trim is painted gloss black.

And yes, I will have to remove and then replace the clear bra on both the door and quarter.

And yes, I am a firm believer in karma (even though my name is not Earl) - this person will get theirs eventually.

My MINI is crying for yours,
looks like it was a white bumper?, or did it leave no marks from the other cars bumper?
This is what happens when we park in NYC downtown.

I remember when talking car alarms first came out...I thought it was either the greatest or the dumbest idea...afterall, when alarms first hit the market, everytime one went off, the whole nieghborhood came out to see...then nobody...I thought, "Great, another car alarm for people to ignore..."

Somewhere I saw a picture of a car in South Africa. It had all kinds of anti-street jacker accessories (it seems that in that particular part of the world it is not uncommon for people to kidnap others and so on...)...like side mounted flame throwers...at the time I thought, "Wow..that's really going overboard to get someone to step away from the car..." Now I am revising my thinking...it would be nice to have one, that instead of flame throwers, a whole ring full of keys flips out and does a number on the offending party's car....then I'd park in the front of the lot again. With all the small digital cameras out there there could be a automatic one that goes off for a few minutes if the car gets nudged.
