R50/53 Service techs playing with radio
Anyone out there have any suggestions to keep service techs from playing with radio when car is in for service? First time I mentioned my dis-approval (was told 'they don't do that'), second time I removed fuse, only to find another installed when I picked up car. When car's there for a 5-6 hour job (water pumps) I don't think it helps battery or ignition. Removing radio seems a little extreme. :???:
I have a privately owned repair shop where we do major work (including MINIS) that calls for the vehicle to be "down" for hours. My policy is "don't touch the radio except to turn it off". What happens though is we disconnect the battery in some cases and that screws up the programming on the radio. The customer gets the car back and has to reset everything. Maybe that's what is hapenning to you?
