Hey Friends!

Ok, I think I finally have got it! Main Street Huntington Beach for the meet that I have been bugging everyone about! We are taking pictures so make sure your mini is sparklin'! There are many places to eat over there and its a fun strip to cruise on. if you don't have your mini yet~ no worries, just bring whatever you have and come out to meet everyone! Its going to be fun!! From there we will head off for a nice sunday drive and see what those minis can do! PM me with your locations and availability or any questions! SPREAD THE WORD!!!

Thank you for putting so much effort into this.....
I would love to attend but the other side of the country is a bit far to go...
Make sure you get lots of pics. Soon there after we will have to set up a page for the pics and a little "what we did" story.

Hey Jeanna!

When is your Huntington Beach MINI-Meet? miniman from Roadfly has organized a get-together this Sunday, 7/21, to meet in the Castaic area, then motor to Ojai for lunch. We're going, for sure.

I'm in W.L.A., near Venice Beach, but interested in keeping in touch with SoCal motorers.

My solid Pure Silver MC was built this week and is, hopefully, aboard the Otello, for 8/12 arrival at Port Hueneme! Until that happy day, I'll be in our Corvette

Look forward to meeting other MINIacs soon!

Hey Miniclo....when your Mini arrives, please post pics of the pure silver/pure silver.....I was interested in seeing what that looks like! (The only one I have seen is in a pic from Germany after a storm....but there was a tree on top of the car, hence I couldn't really see the full effect....poor little Mini! )

 

Yeah, I saw the poor MINI from Germany with the HUGE tree on it

Hopefully, I'll figure out how to post pics by the time my MINIclo arrives!

Yes that car certainly held up well.....I made sure to send my mother that picture....she's the one that is worried about me being safe in it! ("Look ma! A whole tree could fall on me and I would be JUST FINE!!!!!!"

HEEEEYYYY Minicio, please post info about the meeting on 7/21, I try to reach on roadfly and can not
get it, so I would appreciate if you or someone else gaves more info.
I am in San Diego so I could go if time it is right.
By the way, today we have a magnific luch time over here in San Diego 5 Mini owners plus an another guy
that stop by but he had another date at the same time.
It was nice to see 5 Minis aligned, 2 dark gray "S", 2 electric blue "S" and a very nice BRG/Tan Int and
CVT, we talk the obvious (Mini) and know each other.

 

Solo: Here's the plan for Sunday, 7/21, as organized by "miniman" on Roadfly:

"This is an informal gathering and drive for anyone interested in coming. The only organization will be seeing that those who want to drive a little bit faster will get to leave first.

"We will meet on LAKE HUGHES ROAD in Castaic, just past the 7-11 (Castaic is approx. 35 miles north of L.A.) Take 5 NORTH, exit LAKE HUGHES ROAD. Right at the bottom of the off ramp, through the light and pull to the right just past the 7-11. For those coming from the North: 5 SOUTH,exit LAKE HUGHES ROAD. Under the Freeway, through the light and pull over just past the 7-11.

"We will gather at 10:00 AM and depart 10:30ish. Drive will take us through Lake Elizabeth to the 138 to the 5 North past Mt. Pinos to the 33 where we will stop in Ojai for lunch, tall tales and good-byes. You can even bring a picnic, if you wish. Don't worry, you will get to leave Ojai a different way than you came in!!!"

On Fridays there is Cruisin' Grand in Escondido. There are generally a few old Minis there and sometimes 2 or 3 new Mini Coops. They tend to get together at a bank lot on the west end of Grand Ave. on the right.

It'll have the MINI on it in some form and "MINI MOTORING Southern California 2002". I'll be making up T-shirts for those who order by Saturday August 3rd. It's only $5 per shirt to help cover materials (no, I'm not making ANY money off this!). I will need payment beforehand though so I don’t end up with unclaimed shirts that cost me $. I can accept PayPal payment or cash/check by snail mail. T-shirts will be delivered at the meet.
