R50/53 anybody regret their color choice?
Well, I had years of specing out MINIs before I actually got one. I loved the IB and HB, and liked the BRG. I drive a JB and regreted it for all of half a second, I love the lines, and reflections and after a good wash I Know the car is clean. My, big fear was the fact that it is almost impossble to keep black cars clean, so I have learned restraint and deal with it until the weekends, then hours of detail and I'm happy!
No regrets here
Gave it much thought and went to look at colors a bunch too so the choice in the end, after a couple of false starts color and roof wise, was spot on
Of course there are custom colors I'd love but that is a whole other thing and does not mean I regret my HB/W at all - still amazed how great it looks under various lighting conditions when I walk up to it.

Hb/w ;-)
I got HB/W & really like it.
I considered white wheels, but the brake dust issue made me choose silver. There are many colors that look so good on our little cars. It really was a tough choice. A couple of things bother me about MINI's paint. First there are only 2 colors available on the MCS that don't cost $450 extra.
The second is the color samples on MINI.com & in the showroom suck. At least for me it's very hard to buy a car based on those samples. I thought about Royal Grey/Silver, but I was just unsure of what it was really going to look like from those samples. Now that I've seen one I know I would've been happy with it. I played it safe & got the HB/W. I am happy with my choice. If I'd be ordering again I'd get the Royal Grey. There are only a few colors that to me don't look good on a MINI. What's really important is if you are happy with your color, not what someone else thinks of it. Viva la difference!

I debated about getting the EB/W, but went with CR/W, and I love it.
Like most MINI owners, I see other MINIs and usually think, "My, that looks nice." About the only two colors I'm not particulalry fond of are Purple Haze with black bonnet stripes (don't know why, just don't
) and Y/B (looks too much like a giant bee and I hate bees
). After I actually saw a PW/PW MINI, I decided that would be a cool color to have as well. It looks a lot better on a car than on a paint swatch. If I every get another MINI, I will seriously consider the PW/PW.

Like MadHatter, I yielded to my wife's choice in everything, the car and the color
. I abolsutely dig our Purple Haze/Silver combo (one of the very first in the country) coz they complement each other perfectly...Now that PH is doscontinued, I love this color combo even more, coz it's gonna be real rare.....
But I got to decide the options that went in.
. Given any more say, I would have opted for the manual + LSD option, but then the wife put her foot down for the automatic....and like Roger Waters sang.."What God wants..God gets!!"

Regret is such a strong word... I don't regret my choice of LY/W. It's bright and bubbly and I'm usually the only one in our group of regular motorers. Plus I really like the LY interior pieces that I got -- gives the inside a bit of a kick!
But I do wonder what kind of wicked stripe job (think bold color!) I could've done on DS (my 2nd choice). Just can't imagine a bold/bright stripe job looking good on the LY. But no worries -- I've got other aesthetic mods on the horizon... See you at AMVIV III!!!

I love my kewl blue with a blue top, blue leather and the chrome package It's soooooo pretty and speedy! But, here is the thing, there are a bunch of colors I have liked -- purple haze, brg, pw, and believe it or no gold with the beige intertior (almost got that, but did not come in 2006) and the space blue (which if the MCSC came in I would have gotten). I would have loved them all and do I regret not getting then, yes, well, I do, but I would have regretted not getting kewl blue too. High class problem....to many awesome mini colors.
No regrets here. My first choice was CR/B, then CR/W,but after seeing PW/B, I had to change it
Couldn't be happier!
Now I just need to decide if I want the factory bonnet strips off and JCW grill and skirts added

I almost got BRG/W but decided not to spend $300 for metallic paint. I love the CR/W, which was my second choice. Also, since I have had to get a new door, and rear quarter panel repairs, the non-metallic color was easier to paint match.
If SG/W had been available I might have gotten it. My other favorites are LY/W and EB/W.
I mostly like the bright fun colors, and not the dark ones that look like they belong on a casket.

That being said, PW/B with the Aero Kit is seriously nice.

I also love my PW/B...I went to the dealer planning on ordering LY/B, but after seeing the white, I went with that instead...I didn't really want to pay the extra $$. But I love many of the MINIs I see on the road, and I imagine I'd be happy with most colors with the exception of one or two (which I won't name here).
If I went with a custom job, thought, I'd go cotton candy pink with gray or black or white stripes/roof. So girly.

The only thing I regret is that I can't have 4-5 more! I would love to have more and most likely will in a few years. I'm also already thinking of custom paint jobs I could do when El Kabong is in need of some "refreshing"!
