Nothing. The driveway seems forlorn. If we haven't heard by Tuesday, we will file the claim. (Insurance agent recommended waiting until police report is on file and five days had passed.)

We are playing with the configurator. No more electric blue also makes us sad. Thinking about white this time - but I will not get white wheels again!

Anyone know what the typical wait time is on delivery? When we ordered back in 2002 there was a lot of variation between dealers.

Just poking around no one seems to have anything like what we want in stock - MCS, lightly optioned - no packages except cold.

I know what you mean. I haven't had a Mini to drive since Dec. 12 and I miss it. When the new one gets here it will have been 2 months since it was ordered, but that's with a three week factory closing. In '02 it took 6 months, so the time factor involved in ordering from the factory is much less now. You can probably get one in a month and a half depending on your location. Best of luck.

Call Classic MINI and MINI of the Hamptons for delivery/ordering info. They sell MSRP and you could fly to pick up the new one, drive it home for a fun break-in trip. So sorry your MINI was stolen....what a nightmare!

When there is a will there is a way...

MINIs perhaps are harder to steal than most cars out there, but it doesn't mean they are 100% theft proof. Professional auto thieves keep up with the technology and often find ways to work around it. To me these people are often seasoned car mechanics and it seems to me these people have access to pretty sophisticated equipment. The question is, how do they get this equipment and who facilitates it?

Remember that if a thieve wants your car, he'll get it so ther eis only so much you can do to protect it.

You don't want that car back anyway. I would be disgusted to drive around in a car that has been already "violated" and probably used to commit other crime(s). Pray that they never find it and if they do, they only find it in pieces.

Take your insurance claim check and don't look back. Like Herby said, look at this incident as a blessing to get a much better built brand new MINI with full 4 years warranty and a host of goodies/improvements your '02 MCS did not have.

Hope everything gets resolved.

We will place an order later this week, or once we figure out the interior.

Anyone seen beige with anthracite trim and headliner?

Exterior looks like Pepper white with silver 16s, maybe a white S/R decal, if that matches the Pepper white.

Hmmm. Can one hijack their own thread?
