Hey Randy, would love to have the opportunity to attend one of your pulley parties as I have never ever been to one. I don't think I will change my stock pulley, but I would like to see the installation process, etc.

Next time you come down to South Florida, let me know and I'll notify our club gang!

PS: current temp is 68F, nice and cool for Miami standards...

It is a shame that deflection and all the nuances of spoken language can't be conveyed on the internet - this is pretty funny stuff .

4. While Roandy Webbe will honor his warranty, your local BMW/Mini hack shop may not.
I don't know you but I do know Randy Webb and he has worked on my MCS at the first AMVIV and I spent a lot less than the JCW kit would have cost me. When driving next to a MCS both in the same gear and same speed they can't out run me. I will pull away from them.

Badges? I'm not gonna advertise for you for free. Besides your logo is fruity...........

Hope that helps!

You're right - I don't know you, but I do know Randy. Last time he was here he groped my wife, made my kids cry by reading them inappropriate bedttime stories, knocked up the dog (a male dog), peed on the toilet seat, left a hair clot in the shower drain and farted in my truck on the way to the airport.

As to the original poster:

Regardless of the oft-quoted Magnussen-Moss act, you can expect your local Mini Chop Shop to give you a rash and a crap if you go the aftermarket route for mods. Even if you have a cooperative Dealer, at some point your local PUMA rep will stop in and put you on the "List".

On the other hand, Randy warranties all of his work and as he has so eloquently stated on this thread, can cook you up a recipe to match or exceed the performance of a JCW equipped MCS for less money - alas, no pedigree.......However, I was at the area Lotus dealer two weeks ago looking at the Elise. The salesman was quite the enthusiast and while we were discussing the possibility of a trade for my MCS, he asked what the mods were.

I told him I had a WebbMotorSports Stage III package. Not only did he recognize Mr. Webb, but he asked to take a drive in the car. He came back quite impressed with it and offered me a very solid price on a trade in (I haven't made a move yet).

The moral of the story - aftermarket doesn't always necessarily mean you'll take a hit later on down the road. You won't get back what you put into the car, but as Randy stated, you won't with the JCW either.........

As to whether you go JCW or go aftermarket, I can only recommend that you try to drive an example of each if you can.

but skip the TB if you're not going to do more to your car. You run the risk of the dreaded "flat spot", and you don't have enough breathing (in or out) to take advantage of the potential benefit.

The 207 HP works set-up gets there with the stock TB, and you can too! Save the money for some fancy custom badges or spend it on some other stuff.
