Thanks for the compliments everyone. We talked over this package for awhile because we weren't sure about how it would look. After a few days with it we are really pleased both with how it looks and how it drives. It has the LSD and I test drove in on a wet bumpy road and it worked really well. It went right were it was pointed with no fuss. Also the suspension is softer than our 03, which I wasn't sure about, but after driving it I found it really absorbs the bumps well and holds the road nicely. Not a "soft" ride, but a more complient one. The seats are pretty comfy and I like the cloth insert as it is more grippy for staying put in the corners. The clutch engagement and the gearing is much nicer too. Driving away and going through the gears is smoother and quicker. There are a lot of other little improvements that we are pleased with too, like extra interior lights and more readouts on the computer.

Beautiful! I knew I saw that design somewhere and I fell totally in love with it! My MINI is purple haze. It used to have a white roof and mirror caps. I had the white painted red, and a red checkerboard pattern on the front quarter panels...God! Everone who saw it said I was on drugs...well, I am, but there Rx and they help me deal with spontaneous spurts of giddiness while driving my MINI...

Have fun with your new baby!! Mick

Can you take a picture of the door sills? I saw a set at the auto show, and I think I want them (I have a checkerboard theme) - but want to check them out again.

Thanks - BEAUTIFUL combination!

Sweet! Congratulations on your new MINI. I saw a Royal Gray with the silver roof the other day and think the roof colour really compliments the looks of the car with certain colours such as yours. BTW, I believe that the bonnet graphic is included but you actually have the advantage of seeing it with and without so you can really make an informed decision!

Looks great as is though . . .

Saw a Checkmate package at the Washington D.C. auto show Saturday with that color combination. You made a good choice - sweeeeeeet!

Thanks. We worked with Dean who is a bit of a character and he was backed up by Ben who was very helpful. Dean and I talked motorcycles and race cars and Ben got the paper work in order. We went back and got the stripe put on and picked up a few extras that we had coming. Over all everything went fine. I'm sure you will like your Mini.

A wise choice.

I have yet to see another SB Checkmate on Long Island.

Nice! Can you update your gallery with some interior pictures. I've been "building" a few checkmate optioned MINIs just cause the interior looks great. I normally don't get things for looks but the cloth grip and durability has huge practicality as well.

Wasn't sure I'd like the SB/S but seeing live pictures changed my mind.

I agree with others, dealer owes you bonnet graphics free of charge.
