R50/53 Cruise Control ?
If for no other reason, get it for the Multi-Function Steering Wheel. This item has become one of my favorite features of the car. In fact, when I drive my wife's Protege 5, reaching for the radio ***** has become a real chore.
Amazing how quickly spoiled we get, huh?

If you live in a country that uses speed cameras to regulate traffic... you definitely appreciate cruise control.
For those of you in the US who have experienced these little jewels first hand: They are little boxes with a radar and a camera. You speed by, you get a ticket in the mail. They are usually fixed in place. But even when you know that they are there, sometimes you can zip by at a few kph / mph over the limit and bingo.

I use my cruise control everyday I drive to work and love it. I leave for work between 2 and 4 A M. There or only 10 cars on the road at that time of the morning - 9 police and mine. Setting the cruise at 45 MPH driving through town has been a ticket saver. I have been stopped many times because the police are bored that time of the morning, but never for speeding.
