Ok, my order is in at the dealer, and I opted for #1 and #3, but passed on #2. Couldn't see spending the money when Xenons don't do anything for me, I wasn't planning on stripes, and preferred the ride of the 16's over the 17's. I am getting fogs as an option, but after reading here, I'm not sure about DSC. Realistically, I'm not going to be autocrossing or racing, although I like decent handling. I'm not likely to find twisty, windy mountain passes in Chicago, more likely weaving through rush-hour traffic. So is DSC a 'Must Have'? Neither of my test drive vehicles had it. Do I need to go back and drive one with it? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Also one quick question, I don't remember seeing (I was too excited driving) but does the '03 MCS come with the chromed pedals, or is that part of a package or option?

Thanks to all and Motor On!

I look at it this way....you spend in excess of $20,000.00 for a new "S". What's another $1250.00 for the premium pkg? It will help with the residual value of the car and make it more appealing in the long run. Trust me Xenon headlights work so well that I will never buy another car without them. My .02

My opinion is it's kind of whacky to order a MCS without the sport package. The 17" wheels are essential to the look of the car and the xenons are neat as all get out. I love the way they kind of dip when you turn them on and then pop up to normal height.

I drove a Cooper with 16" wheels and a MCS with 17" wheels back to back, and I felt the ride of the MCS was much better than the MCS.

I could do without the other two packages, but the sport package is essential.
