Need recommendation for baby seat - '05 MCS
Hi all.... I'm due in May and am starting to look at baby stuff. One key item that I'm stuck on is a baby seat! I have an '05 MCS convertible and am trying to find out what system has worked best for any Minimamas (or papas =). Ideally I would like the whole system to be Mini-friendly (stroller fits in trunk, seat comes out and sits in one of the plastic units that are always in the backseat (yeah I'm new at the mom thing, don't know the terms yet!)).... I did a forum search but the last thread I found was from '03.
Thanks in advance... too bad they don't make Mini-sidecars! =)

I went with the Peg Perego.
It's a gread infant seat, but I don't know about the stroller options. We have a mountain buggy, and you can get a bracket, but the only way to get that in is with the other rear seat down. I gave up on child seats, and am having a friend sent me one of the Mini 1+ Isofix (read LATCH) from germany... The Peg will get you through the first year.
There's a lot of information on the Mini2 forums (at least more than on NAM), but since it's an England/Europe centric site, some of the options go by other names, or aren't available here.
My wife was all pissed when I told here the Greco convertable she ordered didn't fit in the Mini, but what did she know when she ordered it? I spend a LOT of time reading, and we couldn't have been happier with the Peg. IT's a bit more, but well worth it. It can be had as part of a Travel System (one where the seat moves into a matching buggy etc.), and we got a spare base for my folks car, in case they needed to get her from daycare. It's was $25 more for the extra base....
Good luck!
