Hi,

I have the anthracite in my MC and I LOVE it. It is a very classy look, sort of "space age." Everyone in my car so far has commented on how cool it looks.

We got the Anthracite Interior as well on the recommendation of our Motoring Advisor. I was concerned that it might be too dark, then I saw it when the car was delivered, I think it looks terrific.

Lots of people are choosing anthracite ...

My MC has silver interior and I think it is very nice.
But my MCS has anthracite.

You need to visit a dealer and check out what YOU like best!

Don't be swayed too quickly or only by hearing a couple of opinions. I thought I wanted Anthricite interior as well until I saw it in peron. That picture above does not show how it really looks. I don't want to sound like a hater but I thought it was completely unnatravtive. My opinion of course. But do go see it in person, you will see that upon close view of it you will notice it looks like theres a fine hatch on it instead of being a solid dark color. At least the one I saw looked like that.

Never do something by opinions but rather your own observations.

Regards,

H.é.c.t.o.r.

I recently saw a MC in Velvet Red, Black Top, Anthracite Interior, Red Cloth interior. It looked awesome! Much better than expected. I was leaning toward this color combo, but wasn't sure if the interior would be "too much red." Having the anthracite, which is darker, makes a big difference! Saw it at Checkered Flag MINI in Norfolk / Va Beach, VA. I too am considering purchase of a MC. I have 4 more lease payments left, so need to make a decision in next couple of months.

I think the Anthracite could also be called Graphite. To me it looks like a pile of graphite shavings - a very rich and very textured look. Some say that it is not enough contrast against black doors and seats, though I think the subtle contrast between the glossy finish and the matte doors is very classy.

BTW, My MINI is VR/W, with Black Kaliedo Cloth and Anthracite Interior.

I LOVE IT.

Postscript - when I test drove, the demo had the gray plastic dash, and I was dissapointed that the outside of the car was so well designed, and the inside looked a bit cheap. I have since seen many gray interiors that I really like, but that first opinion and the availability of anthracite was the decisionmaker for me.

After all, its a MINI - you can't make a bad choice. And if you do, you should be modding it in a few years anyway!

If you live in a hot climate, you may regret ordering the nearly black interior. The silver will show dirty easier in the long run, but it's cooler.

I love anthrazit interiors. My car came with the anthrazit interior, it was not an option, as Mini Mexico decided the "cheap" salt version Minis should not have the silver interior. With the exception of the door handles which look more dull on the anthrazit, I love the dash, it looks very british on the dark interior.

In the end all available interior trims do look great, it´s just a matter of taste

Hey...
I got the silver (magnesium) interior because I liked the lightness it added to the interior and I thought it looked sharp with the Indi Blue. I still like it, but word of warning: keep some Armorall or something in the boot because it gets quite dirty, quite quickly. Particularly in the winter when the car is wet and dirty and you graze the door panel with a damp hand. Just a little extra work to keep it clean, that's all.

Cheers,
~Kelley

I like the look of the anthracite but I am not fond of the tachometer having silver trim along with it. It makes the tach look sort of 'tacked' on. ops:

I know silver is the only color the tach comes in, but I think MINI should make it match the rest of the interior.

I've got the VR/W with profile leather and athracite. I think that the darker color of the athracite looks better with the VR and the leather, and the little sparklies look cool too when the sun hit 'em

IMO i think that the anthracite is the "classiest" but i expect the interior will become hotter if you leave the car parked, but once you roll down the windows and start motoring, you'll be fine!

I would sit in a few cars before you decide on your interior!

Here's the silver grey interior with silver trim for comparison. IMO, I like the contast the silver has.

I just put my deposit down on my chili/blk w/red seat covers. All anthracite and dark doors. I thought the tach kind of stuck out too much, but they didn't have that part in anthracite, so I decided I wanted just a little silver. Everything is dark anthracite except the tach, speedo, 2 vents next to speedo, cup holders and around stick shift. I also ordered alloy petals and the Harmon stereo/the speaker covers are silver.
I don't know how it's going to look yet, but I'll have all the old parts if I hate it. I think it will look cool. I'll take pictures in June when I get it.

I've ordered the anthracite as well, but I have to admit I'm not fond of that tachometer trim in silver. It's entirely possible that when it arrives I'll be going to the hobby shop to find a matching paint...
