Rear Aero - should it be attached at the bottom?

I was examining underneath my recently purchased Chili Red MCS/JCW w/ Aero pkg this afternoon, and noticed that the rear aero splitter does not appear to be attached on the bottom - can kind of bend it back and forth a bit.

Is this normal, or has something come loose?

I have to say that I am enjoying this car more than many of my earlier vehicles, there is something almost magically fun about driving it.
But, at the same time, I would not want to leave my rear aero lying on the road as I zoom off, chuckling madly.
