We spent about 7 hours in Amsterdam on 12/27 during a layover on the way to Dubai. On the return leg of our trip, we spent two nights there too.

What a beautiful city!! I managed to snap some shots of various MINIs I saw parked along the canals and on some small side streets.

I loved Amsterdam. I spotted this Mini while there in Summer 2003.

 

I love The Netherlands. Great pix, and great MINIs and Minis!

 

I'm sure things have changed considerably in the last thirty years, but my wife and I used to spend many a weekend in Amsterdam when I was stationed in Germany. We always stayed at the "Red Lion", a small hotel about 1/2 block from Dam Square, a WWII memorial.

Beautiful place - even the red light district...


edit: Then again, looking at the pictures, I'm not sure much of ANYTHING has changed in thirty years.

This one is of a parking garage in Dubai, the whole garage was MINI-themed, very cool!

 

one thing i noticed, which is very common in Europe, the sunroofs, ppl do not buy cars with sunroofs, they simply go for a convertible
