Is there some way to look up your vin number and find out if you have LSD I bought my mini used and everyone I talked to about it when I bought it didnt know anything about the car.

So how do I know if I have the LSD, I do have the DSC, I turn if off everytime I get in the car.

 

I usually know if I have LSD if everything is melting. I don't think that I will ever get over the acronymn similarity.

I know that if you call the 1-800# and tell them your VIN# they can tell you all of the options that you have.

 

I bought my Mini used, I registered on the Mini web site and asked them if they could tell me the options my car had. Within a week they emailed me the build sheet for my car

But the bad news is I don't think that LSD was an option on the '03 MCS:(

LSD was first available for MCS in 2005 model year (I think)

 

Another way is find a spot with nice smooth asphalt or concrete and "light-em-up"

2 nearly equal lines = LSD
1 line or 1 long 1 short = no LSD

 

If you car was built before Jan 05, not possible. Otherwise, just call or e-mail MINI and they will give you a list of everything on your car.

Edit: I just looked at your photo gallery and your car is pre-05 so no. But still, talk to MINI, you may learn something cool about your car.

 

LSD rocks. I wouldn't be w/o it if possible.
