R50/53 A classic mini moment

Ok so I went to work today (the mall) and parked the MINI. Before the mall closed I decided to go down to my car to get my cd's so I could listen to some good music while I was closing the store. To my surprise another chilli red mini had parked right in front of me! Thinking quickly, I grabed a mini motoring note from my glove box and wrote on it "nice car! (from the car parked behind you!)" and placed it on their windshield. I headed back in and closed up the store. When I came out the other MINI was gone but sure enough on my windshield was the note, and on the back they wrote "Nice stripes! What a cool mini! (from the car parked in front of you)." Its times like tonight that remind me what a cool car this is to have!

Had my very first chance yesterday to exchange waves with another MINI...an all-silver S...driven by a "hottie." It was a nice moment as I don't see too many MINIs and I hadn't pondered it til Illustrator's post. Thanks.

I had a charming MINI monent the other day too!
An elderly gentleman (dressed sharply in bright green cords, red Mr. Rogers sweater, etc) approached me in the parking lot and said that he thought it was great that Morris was still making the MINI and that he had not seen one in 30 years.
He asked if they were still built in England and I said yes.
I was so charmed that he called it by its original name "Morris MINI" that I did not have the heart to tell him that it was a BMW
