Turcicus is correct: use dental floss (not the wimpy skinny kind), saw back and forth through the foam tape.

Oh gawd, don't call me a guru. Dork is bad enough.

I used fishing line to get them off, (I must have used the wimpy dental floss, cause that broke in an instant)

And I would need 6 all together, right? 2 smaller and 4 of the larger? or vice versa?

Thanks in advance

Is it me or can you still see the "cooper" on this boot? Is that a matter of doing more claying or polishing? Can I expect this on my CR? Thanks!

Yah, I can still see the outline of Cooper. I would try more clay, or even Meguair's makes a nice paint clearner designed for getting marks out of the clear coat. I think it is called NXT Clear Coat Cleaner. Or something to that effect.

Super Dork mod......

Most of the electronics that I have are capable of being charged from USB ports on a PC.

eg Cell Phone, iPod, iPaq

A $4 USB Hub and a $5 USB Charger allows me to plug all of the devices that I can think of into one place.

Cheap - $9 vs $60 (3x$20 dedicated chargers)
Tidy - way less things plugged into the power outlet
Dorky - hey my car has a USB hub in it !

You can do even tidier and use the rear power socket and an extension cable and place the USB hub under the co-pilots seat, but thats an extra $6.......

Two cheap mods, one kinda dorky.

I got the "car box", or, decorated vintage suitcase at an auction
for about $12. The carpet material was bonus yield from my slot
car project, and it was Free. Home Depot cut my piece wrong; I
called and when I went back, the guy had cut off twice what I needed.

This was before even washing just as soon as I had done the floss. I clayed it about a week or two later, and things were much better after that. Just don't have the photos of it cause the boot is rarely clean long enough LOL

Lowe's has them in the harrdware section -- in the large drawers with washers, nuts, etc . . . but don't know about Home Depot.
I only bought 2 large and 2 small for the mod depicted.

I have a friend who loves my MINI thinks its great and all, but he despises how much i love my baby! Probably cause we'll be late if i see a something on the car that i dont like
But either way his idea was to buy another set of letters that spell cooper
and switch them around so that the letters on the hatch said pooper scooper! it was so cheesy and he kept at it for a couple days

This is my favorite interior mod so far! Old school punk rock pins. GBH, Sex pistols, Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedys, Exploited, Misfits, 7 seconds, etc....

I cant remember the cost because most of these are from the early 80's. I do know it's cheap.

Very punk, very british, very old school, very dorky.... I have not seen this yet on any other car let alone a MINI! They look killer on the little raised portion of headliner around the mirror. Its fun to collect them as I find them and add to my collection... Motoring around and seeing this on the headliner with some good punk rock driving through the stereo just adds a little something to the whole experience!

I like it.

Oh.... Also my new black Ipod my wife got me for Valentines day to replace my white one. (black looks soooo much better in a MINI)

That just gave me a great idea on what to do with some of the velcro patches I have for the Army's new ACU uniform!

Yup, velco just sticks on, you can arrange them at any time, and they've never fallen off
