R50/53 Close to taking the plunge, any advice?
Get the front and back fog lamps whether u plan to use them or not... If you don't there will be 2 blank spaces in the row of switches underneath the stereo. It drive me crazy! My MA told me 6 hours of labor to add fog lamps... lots of wiring I imagine. damn.

I actually waited several months longer for my MCS because I wanted both the heated seats and Xenon lights that were available only from the '03 models on. I agree that lighting is more of a necessity than a luxury, especially as we age, the brighter lights are needed for our safety as well as that of others. Get Xenons and fog lights, front and rear. Bun Warmers are nice in colder climates, especially if you opted for leather seats, as these get really cold when your MINI is out for a few hours in freezing weather. If you live in a warmer climate, but have a bad back you can also justify the added expense of seat heaters.
