R50/53 A MINI-filled morning in Dallas
A MINI-filled morning in Dallas
I was driving to work this morning, getting ready to exit onto Haskell from 75 South in Dallas when another car came speeding by me and took the same exit. At first I was upset that they were driving so fast by my baby until I realized that it was a shiny silver MCS!!! Of course at that point I floored it and zipped up behind him. We both came to the stop light and were sitting right next to each other. We
each other and laughed. Then we noticed to his right was ANOTHER MINI!!!!!!!!! It was a woman in a yellow/white roof MC. There we were........the three of us lined up at the same light in a nice pretty row. I was laughing the entire time.
You should have seen the faces of all the other people at the light. The guy behind me had a look on his face like "um....did they plan that?"
But the truth is, we couldn't have planned that to work that well, even if we wanted to! I don't think the woman in the yellow MINI was a NAM member since she didn't seem too ethusiastic to see us, but then again it was kind of early in the morning. I do, however, feel that the gentleman in the silver MCS was a member of NAM if not MetroplexMini.com (so if yer out there, let me know who you are!)
The light turned green and he and I zipped around the corner (to the left) and he pulled into his parking garage and I went around the corner to my work. Talk about a fun morning! Never before have I owned a car that when I saw another one next to me did I get that excited. And Dory was happy to see her siblings like that! She skipped the rest of the way to work. LOL
So if you are out there Mr. Silver MCS in Dallas, Texas....you know who you are....it was fun at the stoplight this morning. Hope to see you around town some more! (And man do those MCS's fly!!!) I would get a ticket for sure if I had an S......I better stick with my MC.....don't need high insurance!!
HAPPY MOTORING!!!!!!!!

I live in Dallas and know exactly where Haskell and 75 is. But, I go a different way to work. I have been seeing more minis in Dallas lately. I too have a silver mine. I have been asked several times in the parking lot at grocery stores if I like my car and one time driving a driver came up beside me and motioned me to roll my window down. He wanted to know who made this car. He was in a truck which is probably one of the most frequent vehicles one sees in this area. ski
