R50/53 New Mini Dealerships
New Mini Dealerships
I was zipping around town the other day and got behind a BRG/W Cooper S.
The car still had dealer tags on it and the plate frame said "Columbus BMW" on it, (the next major town south of us~45 minutes away).
I thought it would be great to have a Mini dealership that:
A: Offered the same level of service as Global Imports, (90 minutes away)
B: Was as close as Hank Aaron.
Any sites or word on new Mini dealerships coming online?

DeSimone BMW in Marlton, NJ, about 15 miles east of Philadelphia, is building their MINI showroom on Route 73 in Mount Laurel NJ. From what I hear, it should be open in Spring 2007. Hopefully sooner.
You probably saw a MINI that had been bought as a used car from a non-MINI BMW dealer.
Rumor has it that Tom Williams in Birmingham will have a dealership in the next year. . . .
I guess that we have had radically different experiences with Global Imports. It took 3 weeks and many daily calls to Global, MINI-USA, BMW-USA and threats of a lawsuit to get them to fix my brakes under warranty after they botched the job the first time a year and a half ago. I could go on and on, but this is not the first time I have had trouble with them: I have had poor service and substandard quality repairs and maintenance EVERY time my poor MINI has been there.
I'd drive many hours to avoid that place!

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles with Global. I can only speak of personal experiance and they have been great to me, (even when a loaner Mini was vandalized and we paid for the repairs out of pocket).
