Maybe it was parked like that to allow for the space to be "saved/reserved" for a MINI!

Yeah right!

Maybe once the white line was crossed all thoughts of parking in a "designated space" was lost (out of sight out of mind:impatient )

I meant they can control it themselves

I'd say the MINI was parked there just long enough to snap this PIC, and then moved to it's "remote location."

For the "SUV at 1AM", maybe they just felt safer walking in a parking lot at 1AM when there was some other non-threatening MINI-type close by. Or maybe they were cops checking out what was up in the parking lot at nite.

But from the tenor of this thread, sounds like a "touch" in the night upon someone's MINI., an inanimate machine, might provoke a complete, escalated response with dangerous consequences for both parties, perhaps.

By the way, I take care of my stuff too, but would rather not be personally effected by the countless random circumstances completely outside my control or even any remote influence.

I learned that riding motorcycles for 20 years, if I got PO'd every time some idiot on 4 wheels didn't see me or my machine, then I was going to spend my day PO'd myself. I wave and that's about it.

Want a durable investment, try real property, T-Bills or Gold, can't do much to decrease their value, no matter how much you may bang it around.

Be safe out there, there are dangerous "critters" out and about, mostly of the two-legged kind.

I parked there and left Red 5 the rest of the afternoon, so that Mr. @$$-clown would get a clue. I normally park in the exact space you see Red 5 at in the photo. It's just so fracking inconsiderate that someone NEW to the company would park like this.

I have noticed a parking phenomenem in my first two days of MINI ownership. Pretty much the car is so narrow that if you park in the very middle of a standard parking space, there should be 3 feet or so on either side of you. For someone to door-ding you, they'd either have to be encroaching into your space, or just incredibly rude/stupid (not to say that never happens ). I also try not to pull in too far to a spot, so that someone coming down the row looking for a spot can see my car and not pull in too quickly. As far as all the other bantering going on, I'm not obsessive, but careful, and my 2 1/2 year old M3 still has had no door dings.

Just look out for Bad SUV drivers.

And then no dents, along with the MINIVAN crowd.
My car is worth more then gold to me.
You may junk your MINI the way you want, but I am not a messy person, these people may be.
I have seen some MINI's that people beat on .
And its the older crowd.

Just part of the regular inconsiderateness that I witness on a regular basis. Cars, trucks, SUV's - I've seen them all put their poor parking skills to the test. Not to mention the random carts that always make their way over to my vehicle no matter where I park! :::Sigh:::

I can relate to that. I took my MCS to the supermarket the first weekend I owned it and parked it several spaces away from other vehicles and carts. Coming out of the store about 20 minutes later I see a cart flush up against my brand new car. . Thankfully there were no scratches, but i was pretty annoyed anyways. I realize you can never prevent all damage, I just try to avoid it when I can. I think what disappoints me the most is the fact that some people simply don't care about other people or their property - pretty sad.
