Alarming Alarm

Anyone have trouble with alarms on '05 cabrio? I have a dealer installed aftermarket and even with the sensitivity dialed all the way down I still get a lot of random warning beeps and short alarm bursts.

I don't know about the cabrio but if I leave my windows down and alarm it and I walk by it... it goes off...

Too good an alarm?

I have an '06 Cooper S with a factory installed alarm system, and mine will alarm if I leave the sunroof open or the windows down. Is there a way around this? How can I lower the sensitivity level- is this something the dealership has to do?

I'm not sure where the factory alarm control box is, but mine is just inside the panel under the steering wheel. It opens with just a good tug and closes just as easily. There should be a sensitivity **** on the box. Take a look.

Thanks! I'll take a look and see what I can do.

Oh my BMW if you press the arm button twice it turns off the cabin sensor that causes the false alarms when you want to leave a sunroof or window open. I'm not sure if it will translate for the MINI or not.
