I wanted so bad to go into the garage and open the trunk and take a picture of my front plate. It's required in Ohio, but it's in the trunk mounted to the bracket.

I've been rehearsing.. "I'm sorry Officer, The dealer didn't mount it for me and I've not been back there since" (of course said with the utmost of respect... )

 

I believe you. I am from Ohio (prior to transplanting to the South), and I think you sound sincere!!!

 

Next Tuesday I will bring my MINI to an independent shop to install a coupla items. I also hope the shop can figure a clever way to mount my front license plate. I prefer asymmetrical because the plate is too deep for that bumper. If it's an interesting solution I will post a pic.

Something like, no state has the death penalty for speeding but we are not sure about Ohio

 

Really hated the front plate when we lived in VA. Now in NC, no front plate...happy days...same applies to SC.

At least we don't own Mazda RX-8. They look like Bugs Bunny with a front plate:smile:. Anyow, glad it's not a problem here.
