Each MINI dealership orders their 'blend' of automatic or manual transmissions based upon how their market responds and their experience in selling them.
Some dealerships are more automatic or manual heavy than others. Of course, that can change as buying trends change, too.
Just because the 85% figure is higher than you might expected doesn't mean it is immediately BS material.
Something to think about.
