>>With all the comments regarding "sliding" items...I just picked up a "Sticky Pad" from Office Depot. The size of two drink coasters, range of colors. Used in the car, anywhere, to hold phones, PDA, keys, coins...anything placed on it will not move. Is a jelly substance....difficult to explain, no glue needed. Also, there is a slick sunglass holder the size of a quarter that clips to the visor. Guess they know how many people need office gear in the car.

I just got one of these. Anything you throw on it just stays there. Great product.

Thought I'd revive this dead post... I found out some cool things when driving my mini this week....so here are my tips and tricks
tip 1: when you need to reload your CD player and you need to put one cd down and pick another ( if there nobody in the car... then put one of the cd on the parking brake handle! the hole in a cd fits just right around the handle button, this give the advantage of no scratching the cd by putting on the seat or rattling around in a pocket..

tip 2. The cup holders in the car are small,, except the rear one, sop if you want to carry say a coke bottle( plastic ones) then you out of luck... but now worries, close the cap and slide the bottle between the side of the hand brake and the seat,, the curve of the bottle will fit snuggly and up right without tipping there.

tip 3. if you don't have a floor mat in the back and you want a simple quick solution.. then take the back floor out and put it into a black leaf trash bag,, preferably only partially unfolded so that the edges are crisp and that bag wont look ratty.. or if you want you could cut and fit the bag to the existing floor piece.. either way after putting into bag replace and you have a water proof floor mat in case you shoes are muddy.

Quick tip for those that live a far distance from your dealership...

Find a tire place that can handle working with run-flats...before you have a run-flat problem.

I have a nail in my rear run-flat. The tyre is holding the air pressure, but I need to either remove the nail and plug it, or buy a new tyre. I've wasted sooo much time with my local tyre places, trying to get something done, and have still not located someone that can handle it. My dealership is 70 miles away and my last resort...I gotta find me a spare.
