tire question

Hello all

I picked up a use 2003 mini S and the tires on it are 245/45/17 in the front and 205/45/17 in the rear . I know this insnt right but I do appreciate the traction of the the wide tires i can turn the DCS switch off and still never break a tire loose.

I have heard folks not putting RunFlats back on the vechile when its replacement time. IS THAT A COMMON PRACTICE.

And what tire sizes/brand/price should I expect in the future.

I dont race and have no intentions of it but I do like a solid stance and i am know to be aggressive at times but part of me thinks that the 245/45/17 is a little overkill and just adds the gyroscopic weight that isnt necessay.

SO fire away what do you run. and why. I live in miami florida so snow will never be and issue for me.

thanks MiniMotoMan

Sounds like someone was into drag racing... Wide front and narrow rear.

From what I have been told You don't mix runflats and non runflats.

Just a heads up. Check out this thread for the dangers associated with mis-matched tires.

I recommend that you go with all one size and make, ASAP. Check out the tire forum for miriad opinions of the best rubber.

Anyone having trouble with 215/45/17's and lowering springs? I have H-Sport and want to buy some 215s but can't decide on 215/40 or 215/45.

Thoughts?
