Best wishes to you both!
I appreciate everyone's words of thanks.
As far as I'm concerned, it is not a sacrafice for me to do what I am doing. I chose this life and I am very proud to serve our country. Still, there are civilians in the U.S. that do their part also, whether it be a simple thanks to the troops or volunteer work at home. We are all in this together, so I say, thanks to all of you too!!! If it weren't for our great nation and everyone's hard work, we wouldn't be where we are today and driving these great cars.
MOTOR ON!!!
I'll be back in the saddle real soon!

Coming from a military family, I can certainly appreciate what you both are doing for our county. My Dad spent many a year away from home.....thank you....
The good old USA awaits your arrival...
safe and sound...

. I'm about 60 northeast of you...be safe down there as I know you guys see more "action" than we do. I pray that we both make it home safe. ...and now back to MINI motoring!!!
I was deployed up there for a few months last year and the experience has made me a better person. I hadn't had the oppourtunity to work with the US forces before then, and I was quite impressed with what I saw and experienced. I made many new friends there, and am still in contact with some of them....
Where I was posted wasn't quite has dangerous as Balad (best I could do was land at the airfield for an hour....it was DAMN hot!!!), but it was still an amazing experience. When I was there, Balad was possibly as, if not more, dangerous than Baghdad (from and air-force perspective anyway)...
Good luck over there you guys....stay safe!
