I agree. I still think Honda puts out good cars though.

I agree

I do agree and disagree.

My wife has an Audi A4. She loves it. It's now 7 years old. By the 5th year the warrenty was gone. It has only cost use about 3,500 in the past 2 years to fix things (this counts the 80,000 mile check up for 800 dollars).

Still a great car and fun

I want to trade my MC 2003 becuase it's been in the shop ever 4 months. First the power windows, then the driver power window, then brake pads at 27,000 miles, I'm on my third set of front times (now have 39,000 miles total on the car).

What I'm learning is the Germans make kick *** cars, All fun to drive. But sell them before the warranty expires.

I see Acura's all the time with 220,000 miles, 172,000 miles and more.

I fit in a Mini. The same can't be said for the TSX (head touches the ceiling, knees touch the dash, thighs touch the steering wheel -- I could drive one probably, but not very safely)

I agree

The head room in the Mini is amazing. Even in the back seat.

I'd take the TSX. Sorry, but the RSX (re-badged last generation Civic) is a piece of crap.
Hm?
It's body perhaps is a civic
but the engine?
if you say that rsx is a civic, tsx is an accord.. equals like that.
Oh and I do not like them both

The RSX and the 2005 Civic Si are mechanically identical I believe.....or pretty close. Yes, the engine is the same.

The TSX is not mechanically identical to the NA Accord. Not at all.

The TSX is the Honda Accord in every other country except America.

my friend test drove a TSX a few months ago (he ended up buying a G35 Coupe) and I went along for the test drive.

great interior on the TSX, body styling is not bad, good acceleration, but put it even in a slight turn at moderate speed and it has such a very noticeable body roll ...

It's actually not exactly the same car.

The Euro Accord has much cheaper interior, a lot less standard features, and a different engine line-up.

You're absolutely right, but that should go without saying.

The TSX is good bang for the buck. You get a lot of cool features standard. The NAV is one of the best on the market, the interior lighting at night is just lovely, and it is a well designed cabin. Outside, eeeeeek, it's so damn ugly and looks like every other japanese car out there. I especially hate how it's **** is so high, waiting for a rear end collision to kick it.

TL is very pretty, yeah. But someone said it was made in the USA, and that kind of scares me. lol.

Why? The Accord and Camry are built here as well and they both have good reps.

But you're clearly comfortable with an engine made in Brazil.

I dont know about the Camry, but I dont know of a single Accord made after 2000 that hasnt had problems.

Also, a buddy of mine went test driving the TL and they said that their test drive car had 3 defects on it and the sunroof didnt work. It was brand new with like 15 miles on the clock.

Yes. They are quite nice to cuddle up to on a chilly night.

Did I ever tell you the story of my Chrome Mk1 Mini Cooper S grill?

Where I grew up it was very hard to get Mini parts, but I managed to get my hands on a brand spanking new Cooper S grill, so shiney and beautiful it was that I gave it it's own bed bunk and blanket. I had that thing for ages, pampering it, and making sure it was nice and comfy. Then I put it on one of my freshly completed Mini projects, 2 pac paint, custom bonnet etc etc, and I got an offer for the car I couldnt refuse, so I sold it, just 2 weeks after completion.

I would always call and ask him, how is the grill, then how is car after that.

Only 1.5 weeks after I sold it, the LITTLE COCKROACH RETARD that bought it had an accident at an intersection and my grill scattered all over the effing road.

chow4us's link (which I had read prior to googling) is appropriate and covered the same territory (although I could not learn from it what a TSX is). I passed the previous thread so appreciate this one for confounding me enough to learn about a car I have seen but not recognized.

Except that they are two cars in the same price range they are otherwise very different. A tough question to answer rationally--almost like asking for a CD recommendation based on price.

TSX = The Carpenters Greatest Hits
MCS = Never Mind the Bullocks Here's the Sex Pistols

Obviously a fan of the Carpenters! Remember the album cover with both of them in a new (yep it was awhile ago) Ferrari Daytona Spider? Only a portion of the windshield area was visible, but for a car freak it was enough. "We've only just begun..." Thanks. Now I can't get it out of my head! :impatient

well, my wife's Corolla's going to be replaced soon and was hoping to get
a MC, but she now wants a larger car to carry clumsy kid stuff
and since I already have a MCS she is looking at something in the
Accord size...

I searched, but dang there is NOTHING! I want in the j-car
market today in that size... :impatient i want something that i wouldn't need
to mod to make it look nice.

Accords... plain ugly
Camry... please stop
6.... blahahaha!!! mutant civic
TSX.... kinda small
TL..... kinda big  (i like this car but not this time)
G35.... don't want two G35's...

So, I started looking at wagons... and probably going
to decide on a LegacyGT Wagon since it's got ample
space and AWD... nice turbo boxer motor and 5SAT,
it actually looks pretty cool in person. it also has
moddible (?) potential.

I did look at the A3 wagons but that's more of a car
I want to mod, etc so probably not a good thing for
the wife to use...i'll end up hogging it.

will see in a few months before snow.
