Well we are about a third of the way on our road trip! Thought I would check in. The MINI is an awsome road car. I have read some posts about it being tiring on long trips, not true for us. The seats are perfect
and when compared to a mule, they're heaven.
We are getting just shy of 32 MPG (real numbers not the OBC). Seems to be plenty of gas everywhere, best prices in the smaller towns. Looks slightly cheaper today.
Did get a speeding ticket in Jemez NM. But it was a speed trap (47 in a 35). One of those western things where it goes from 65 to 35 and the sign was behind a cactus.
$85 bucks for the town kitty.
Heading for Brice today. Then on to some good twisties.

That's awesome - glad to see you're having a wonderful time with your new baby. Fantastic way to break it in too. Just curious though, 2500 miles is about 48% of the 5200 mile journey, so why are you only a third done?
