I've just placed deposit for MCS last Saturday. The dealer said delivery timing would be in June. How about other members? Need to wait for 4 to 5 month?
Thanks!

The length of time you wait is linked to the number of cars your dealer has sold prior to yours within a given period (I think that's what I heard) since each dealer is allocated a fixed number of cars per month. If they exceed the allocation, then they bite into the next months' and the following months' and pass the wait along to _you_! Apparently my dealer (Mini of Towson, MD) has been playing the conservative course since my wait is about 9 weeks.

I talked today with my dealer here in Detroit, MI and they said that, they are taking orders at the moment for first week of April:( and this it's for the base price MINI which is the one we want to get. The only option is to go down to Ohio and get it there, but not sure about that yet. Hope you don't go crazy waiting for yours

I agree with you on both those options. I waited over a year before I was able to get them. The HK is awesome!!

See my sig line for dates and timeframes from moving from one stage to another. So you have a production number now? If you don't then you're probably on the wait-list. When you have a production number, that really means your order has been submitted to the factory.

Well, thanks for lots of information, everyone.
My dealer is located in Cincinnati and I test drove MCS the other day.
I guess I can wait for 4 month, because MCS is really great car to motor.
Actually I felt like every single piece of the MCS was connected with my 5 sense and became a part of my body. It was so vivid. You know what I'm telling...
MCS is one of the most sensitive and wonderful car I've ever driven in my 27 years motoring experience. I've just fallen in love with MCS.

I orderd my MINI from the vah beach, va (checkered flag) dealership on Jan27th, and was told 10-12 weeks.. I have yet to get a call about with production number, so we'll see how true that holds up.. Patience is a virtue I definitely don't have.

Speaking of production #s, how long did it take from order date for people to get their production #?

endlessly waiting,

ryan w

I got my production number the same day as well. My MCS was loaded onto the boat 16 days later. You guys should just call a different dealership. I got mine from Moritz in Dallas -- they have no markups or addons and they'll ship it to you if you're not up for a road trip.

I placed my deposit on Jan 2nd, 2003 for my MCS at Motor City MINI. David said it goes in the March-build folder, meaning I should get the car sometime April. I should be getting my production number quite soon.
