I think iI can put tobed the discussion about towing Mini's that I started by saying it is probably not a good choice to do. I would like to know if anyone has any knowledge of enclosed trailers that are sized for the Mini's that can be towed behind an RV? I'mon the verge of ordering my Mini and want to get an estimate of cost for a enclosed trailer once I get it.

you can spend anywhere from 5-15 grand on an enclosed trailer, it just depends on how nice you want it to be. an open flatbed trailer is the better way to go in my opinion, you can even get one with a tilt bed to ease the loading process and get rid of the use of wheel ramps

 

I saw a MINI in Eastern Oregon last month being towed by a motorcoach.

 

I have a 20' enclosed trailer that we use for hauling ATV's to the beach. I am able to get 2 ATV's in the front (side by side) and the MINI will just fit behind them. A 16' trailer would be big enough for just the MINI alone.

The problem is getting out of the MINI after getting it into the trailer. You have to crawl out one of the windows or out though the back door as you can't open the car doors inside the trailer.

A possible solution would be to use a small winch to pull the car into the trailer. You could leave the drivers window down so you could steer if needed. This is what I plan on doing for taking the MINI to the track next summer.

This reminds me of something that I saw on one of those Life styles of the rich and famous. It was an RV that was big enough to have a hole in the back and a hydrolic lift type device to fit a Mini and pull it into the RV for travel. The guy who bought it was showing it to his wife, the sales man demonstrated this feature and asked the woman if she wanted to go for a ride. After she came back, the husband told her to keep the keys to the Mini and he will keep the keys to the RV. She was almost knocked on her a$$ from the suprise. The RV was expensive though. $750,000+ if I remember correctly. At the very least, it was expensive enought that the Mini was a free gift from the RV dealer with purchase. That I remember clearly. Anyway, that was a sweet set up, but probably not what you are looking for.
