The tC gets worse fuel economy than the MCS. So much for the gas cost justification.

Uh, to be completely honest, my gas mileage in the MCS was absolutely horrible. i was lucky to get 225 miles on a full tank. Not to start a MINI bashing thread because I do love the MINI, the tC in numbers beats an MCS in the 0-60 category albeit, not by much. I could really care less about that though considering I got an automatic and the tC is about comfort for me. Seriously though, this is a car that I'm looking for longevity with. The fact of the matter is, BMW parts are really expensive as well as finding a good mechanic with reasonable prices. Since I got an extended warranty (which there was never one offered when I purchased the MINI), I have bumper to bumper peace of mind for 7 years or 100,000 miles. Also my payments are quite a bit cheaper than the MINI.

The MINI was a good car for me and I had almost 3 years of really spirited driving. Unfortunately I could not realistically, keep the vehicle. I really do like my new ride and don't regret for a moment what I did.

BTW: On my way to San Diego this past weekend, another tC owner waved to me. Sort of reminds me of something...

It seems that the wave is a universal form of recogntion/greeting by owners of certain cars (don't know how to categorize which car owners wave and which ones don't - the MINI and Corvette get waves almost all the time; in fact it is neck and neck between the two in my experience). There may be an emerging ethic for waves from the Scion community. In any event, it is a form of recognition and greeting. Wave on!
