R50/53 Negotiating Time

Hello All,
The time is almost near for me to place the order for my MCS. They are selling for MSRP + $900.00 dollars in accessories (of my choice) at the nearest MINI dealer.
That's ok because I am planning on more than $900.00 dollars in options.
My thought was that while price is non negotiable, I would try and get them to "throw in" some of the options beyond the $900.00 requirment. When placing an order for a MINI, I assume you finalize the price when you put down your deposit.
Is that the best time to try some negotiation?
Can't wait to place my order!

That's BS...tell them to shove it....no problem here getting a MCS at sticker with zero dealer add ons....I bought one in spring of 2002 at MSRP and zero dearler add ons....if anything you might get MSRP and few freebies thrown in, wait till summer and the war is going on and the market down again and you will get one below sticker...

Remember, that with any negotiation you MUST be prepared to walk away. Best to take someone who is not emotionally involved. That said, it sounds as if you'll give them what they want....I did.
